Skate Canada - Mount Forest is looking for a StarSkate Coach (Posted July 2010)

Skate Canada- Mount Forest is located 40 minutes west of Orangeville and 40 minutes north of Guelph at the cross roads of Hwy 6 and Hwy 89.

We are a growing club of 95 members who have CanSkate, CanPower, PreJunior, TeenSkate, StarSkate, Adult Learn to Skate and a recreational Adult Syncro Team.

Our club has ice times on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is looking for a Level 2 or very experienced Level 1 Coach who is willing to coach at least two of the three days.

We are looking to expand our coaching staff specifically in the StarSkate program as we have increasing membership of skaters who are looking for more private lessons in all disciplines.

Our club has an enthusiastic and very active and supportive Board of Directors. Our hard working skaters eagerly participate in test days and many local competitions.

Centennial Park Skating Club is actively seeking Coach for CanSkate and STARSkate Programs


Centennial Park Skating Club is a well-established club in Etobicoke with over 300 members. We are currently accepting applications for a Skate Canada Coach NCCP Level 2 or higher to join our dedicated coaching team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated professional who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with skaters, parents, and fellow coaches. This energetic individual will be involved in coaching CanSkate and STARSkate level skaters as well as participating in club activities, special event days, and competitions.

CanSkate/STARskate Coach:


The Aurora Skating Club is looking to increase our coaching staff. We have programs running from September through until the end of June. The successful applicant works well in a team environment, is creative, energetic, highly motivated, and has great communication skills. The position involves coaching CanSkate and STARskate level skaters, as well as being involved and participating in club activities, such as spirit days, competitions, ice shows, etc.

The Raft Mountain Skating Club in Clearwater, BC, is looking for an enthusiastic, Skate Canada NCCP Certified Head Coach

The Raft Mountain Skating Club in Clearwater, BC, is looking for an enthusiastic, Skate Canada NCCP Certified Head Coach starting in September for the upcoming 2010/2011 season (22 – 23 weeks). The successful applicant will be responsible for all programs the club offers from CanSkate Preschool to STARSkate. We have approximately 50 - 65 skaters with 9.5 - 12 hrs/wk of ice time. In the past we have had up to 120 skaters. We generally attend one to two competitions so a willingness to choreograph and select music is recommended. The salary is negotiable dependent on experience.

The Oakville Skating Club is looking for coaches;

With approximately 1500 members including 260 STARSkate and competitive skaters, the Oakville Skating Club is looking for coaches interested in joining our growing, dynamic club.

Learn to Skate Coordinator
Reporting to the Skating Director, the Learn to Skate Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the development, management and activities of all Learn to Skate and CanSkate programs.
We are looking for;
" Excellent people and communication skills
" Computer skills including Microsoft word, excel and access
" Good organization and multi tasking
" Must be available to attend sessions as well as some daytime office hours
" A team player, creative and highly motivated
" Ability to interact with skaters, coaches and parents.
This position will include involvement and participation in club activities including competitions, special event days, ice shows galas, etc.

CanSkate/STARSkate coaches
The Oakville Skating Club operates out of several facilities in Oakville and we are looking to increase our coaching staff.
We are looking for coaches that are team players, creative, energetic and highly motivated. Applicants will work under the direction of the Skating Director and must be able to interact with skaters, coaches and parents.
This position will involve coaching CanSkate and STARSkate level skaters, as well as being involved and participating in club activities including competitions, special event days, ice shows galas, etc.

Level 3 Certified/competitive Coach
The Oakville Skating Club is continually developing new and exciting programs to enhance the development of young skaters, and provide the resources and tools needed grow our competitive program. We are looking for a full time staff member that is passionate, dedicated and competitive.
The applicant needs to be up-to-date and knowledgeable with the CPC system, and be familiar with the current Competitive & STARSkate Technical requirements.
The successful candidate must be willing to attend competitions and test days throughout the year.

All applicants must be registered with Skate Canada, hold a valid first aid certificate and have completed a criminal background check.
